On the 24th of February, just before winter holiday, we had a skiing competition for the pupils of Rantasalmi schools. The competition takes place every year.

Winter sports
My favourite winter sport is ice hockey. I like downhill skiing, too.
I think cross-country skiing it's ok.

Winter at our school
During the breaks we usually play in the snow. We play King of the Hill and slide. Sometimes we go skating and skiing. We can make snowmen and snow castles. We sometimes make snow angels. Annamari likes to play ice hockey, she doesn't like cold weather. Sofia likes skiing holidays, and she doesn't like cross country skiing. Vilma likes Skiing holidays, and she doesn't like cross country skiing. Väinö doesn't like winter sports, he likes more summer than winter. Mari likes skating, she doesn't like skiing. Sanni likes skating, she doesn't like skiing. Niko likes skiing, he doesn't like skating.

Winter fun
I love snowboarding, because it's my farourite hobby. I go snowboarding in Juva. I have got my own snowboard and boots. I don't like winter, when it's very cold. I think cross-country skiing is ok. At school we go skiing in our PE lesson. We can also skate at school.
